Personalized Service
In the weeks prior to your launch, Canyon REO's staff is available to answer any questions and concerns from your group. We are here to assist with all your trip preparations and answer questions regarding equipment, shuttles, menu selection, and other logistical matters.
Donnie Dove, owner of Canyon REO, has 30 years of Grand Canyon rafting experience. He is pleased to assist you with questions regarding boats, rigging, kitchen systems, camping, hiking opportunities, running the river, group dynamics and a host of other issues.
Our Logistics Coordinator provides information regarding equipment necessary for completion of the NPS Non-Commercial River Trip Application. She can also provide you with information regarding local accommodations, shuttle logistics and a host of other concerns. Don't be shy to ask us anything - We are happy to help.
Our Food Manager assists you with your menu selections
and advises you on how best to take care of your trip participants who are
vegetarians, vegans or have food allergies.

We provide top of
the line boats and all ot the professional outfitter equipment needed
for your trip.

Customized Meals
Our Food includes a complete menu service and food pack. All food
is arranged by day and meal in a logical, easy-to-follow system. We
provide abundant spices and staples so gourmet chefs can add their flair
to each dish for truly mouth-watering meals.
We will gladly provide mixed meals for vegetarians and non-vegetarians at your request. Call us about other special dietary needs or concerns. We're happy to accommodate everyone.
As part of your confirmation packet we send you our Customized Meals Booklet, which includes numerous menu choices and menu planning advice. You choose the menu items by camp from our collection. Or, if you like, you can send us some of your own favorite recipes. After your menu is finalized, we then purchase and pack your food in REO's coolers, ammo cans, and aluminum boxes.
For an additional cost we can include:
- Gourmet Coffee
- Munchie Box (for hikers, kayakers, or extra-hungry folks)
- Additional Appetizers

Shuttles
Shuttles provided with Canyon REO's Deluxe Outfitting Package include:
To Put-In
Group Shuttle from Flagstaff to Lees Ferry in passenger van (we also have a roomy comfortable 27 passenger people mover that is our preferred method of transport for our Deluxe Outfitting clients and will be used if available) and equipment truck.
We transport all of your people, the boats & equipment (including your personal boats & equipment) and food.
Group Shuttle from Phoenix or Las Vegas is available at extra cost.Or
Vehicle Shuttle of 4 of your vehicles (fewer vehicles included if your group size is 11 or smaller) from Lees Ferry to Flagstaff. We meet you at Lees Ferry with all of the boats, equipment and food on the afternoon preceding your launch. After you have launched we move your vehicles to storage in Flagstaff.
Additional vehicles can be shuttled at additional cost.
If you have Phantom Ranch exchanges, give us a call to discuss the options.
From Take-Out
Group Shuttle from your take-out (Diamond Creek or South Cove) to Flagstaff in van and equipment truck. (Group Shuttle to Phoenix or Las Vegas available at extra cost.)
The Hualapai Tribe charges a land crossing fee for every person, vehicle and vehicle driver going to Diamond Creek, so with a Diamond Creek take-out, in addition to your trip participant's land-crossing fees, there will also be 4 Hualapai land-crossing fees for the vehicles and drivers.Or
Vehicle Shuttle of 4 of your vehicles (fewer vehicles included if your group size is 11 or smaller) from Flagstaff to take-out. We also bring our equipment truck to pick up equipment and the vehicle shuttle drivers.
Additional vehicles can be shuttled at additional cost.
Keep in mind that vehicle shuttles to Diamond Creek incur more Hualapai land-crossing fees than the group shuttle option.

Orientation & Rigging
The typical Deluxe Outfitting group meets at our warehouse in Flagstaff at 9 am on the day preceding your launch.
Canyon REO presents a standardized 1 hour video orientation on our equipment, food pack, kitchen systems, toilet set-up and includes suggestions to make your trip run smoothly.
We then caravan to lunch, drop your vehicles at a storage facility, and then proceed to Lees Ferry, which is approximately 3 hours away.
At Lees Ferry, our Canyon REO Riggers guide & help your group to assemble, rig and load the rafts. One of the Riggers will stay overnight, prepare your morning coffee and a continental breakfast, see you through the NPS ranger's inspection, and wave you off from the launch.
